Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains what information we collect from the athletes we coach, why, how we keep it safe, and how you can see, change or delete it. It covers this website, the client portal and, if you choose to connect it, your Garmin account.
Who we are
Noga Performance is the performance coaching practice of Noga Geller, a registered business in Tel Aviv, Israel (“we”, “us”). We decide how your information is used and are responsible for it.
Privacy questions and requests: noga.performance@gmail.com
What we collect
When you send an enquiry
- Your name, email, phone (optional), sport, age group, goal, and for under-18s a parent or guardian’s name and email. We use these only to reply to you, and delete enquiries that don’t lead to coaching within 12 months.
When you become a client
- Your name, sport, username and the access code you sign in with (we store the code only in a scrambled form that cannot be read back)
- For athletes under 18: the parent or guardian’s name and contact details, and the date the guardian gave consent
When you log training in the portal
- Training sessions: date, type, duration, how hard it felt (RPE), wind conditions and your notes
- Strength sets: exercise, weight, repetitions
- Heart-rate data: average and maximum heart rate and time in each heart-rate zone, typed in by you or read from screenshots you upload
- Screenshots you upload from your watch or training app
- Pain and injury answers: whether something hurt, where, and how much
If you connect your Garmin account
- With your permission, we receive your activity data from Garmin Connect: activity type, date, start time, duration, distance, and heart-rate data (average, maximum, time in zones).
- We do not request sleep, stress, body composition, women’s health or location history data, and we do not receive your Garmin password.
When you visit the website
- Basic technical information our hosting provider records to keep the site working and secure (such as your IP address and browser type). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Pain answers and heart-rate data are health information. We treat them with extra care (see “How we keep it safe”).
Why we use it
We use your information only to coach you:
- to plan your training, follow how it goes and adjust it
- to watch your training load and recovery, and to spot pain or injury early
- to prepare for your competitions
- to contact you, or your guardian, about your training
The legal basis is your consent (or your guardian’s consent for athletes under 18) and our coaching agreement with you. You don’t have to give us any of this information, but without training data we can’t build or adjust your plan.
We never sell your information, never use it for advertising, and never share it with other athletes. We don’t use it to make automated decisions about you; your coach reviews your data and decides.
Who can see it
- You, in your portal.
- Noga Geller, your head coach.
- Coaches on Noga’s team, only if Noga gives them access, and only to the parts she allows (for example training only, without pain answers). Your portal shows who has access to your data and what they can see.
- Our service providers, who store and run the platform for us and may not use your data for anything else: Supabase (database and file storage, hosted in the EU, Frankfurt) and Netlify (website hosting and enquiry form).
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
Some providers are based outside Israel (in the EU or the US). We use providers that apply recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How we keep it safe
- Every athlete can see only their own data. This is enforced by the database itself, not just by the screens.
- Heart-rate screenshots are kept in private storage, never on a public link.
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting providers.
- Every change made by a coach is recorded in an audit log that cannot be edited.
- Coaches’ working copies are kept on encrypted computers protected by a password.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while we coach you. When coaching ends, we keep it for up to 2 years so we can pick up where we left off if you come back, and then we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Enquiries sent through the website that don’t lead to coaching are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You (or your guardian, if you are under 18) can ask us to:
- see the information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- stop using a particular kind of data (for example, stop receiving Garmin data).
Email noga.performance@gmail.com from the address we have on file, or ask your coach. We will confirm who you are and reply within 30 days. If you think we handled your information wrongly, you can also contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
How to delete your data
Email noga.performance@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data” (or ask your coach). We will delete your account, training log, heart-rate data, pain answers, screenshots and any Garmin data within 30 days and confirm by email. Records we must keep by law (such as invoices) are kept separately and only for as long as required. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
How to disconnect Garmin
You can stop sharing Garmin data at any time, in either of two ways:
- In the portal: go to Settings → Garmin → Disconnect.
- In Garmin Connect: open the Garmin Connect app or website → Settings → Connected Apps → Noga Performance → Disconnect.
From that moment we receive no new Garmin data. Activities already imported stay in your training log so your history stays complete; if you want them removed too, tick “Also delete my Garmin data” when you disconnect in the portal, or email us, and we delete them within 30 days.
Garmin and Garmin Connect are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. Garmin’s own handling of your data is covered by Garmin’s privacy policy.
Children
Many of our athletes are under 18. We coach a minor only after a parent or guardian has given consent, and the guardian can use all the rights above on the athlete’s behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we will tell you in the portal or by email before it applies.
